Hectic day today getting caught up on work. I was dealt a crushing blow early on in the form of my new favorite coffee place being too packed to get in to. I headed over to our Galerias work space to work and spent most of the day there before running into a one cute girl on the street and then going for dinner at Sommelier Lisbon.

Day 96 | August 30
A lot of work to do today so I headed over to Copenhagen Coffee Lab to work for the morning. This turns out to be a great coffee shop. Good coffee, strong WiFi and possibly the best yogurt/granola concoction that I’ve ever had… though I haven’t had many so what do I know. Then I went over to another one of our workspaces; Galerias de Sao Bento. This place is awesome, easily our best place since K10 in Prague. Nice courtyard area, rooftop, a cafe that apparently never opens… all kinds of cool stuff. The whole town closes down mid-afternoon until evening so by the time I was ready to eat I had to wait until dinner so I went back to Time Out Market for dinner.
Day 95 | August 29
Today we settled into Lisbon with our usual arrival orientation. I had a lot of work on the docket so afterwards I just hung around Leap Center, one of our three work spaces throughout the city. The feel is more mainstream than what we’ve had so far. Just like being in the office. I spent the whole day there and then while walking home I happened past A Cevicheria which was recommended to me just the night before so I decided to stop in there for dinner. I had the tasting menu and a couple of pisco sours and was blown away. The overall vibe of the place, quality of my waiters and the excellent food put it in the running for my favorite meal on my travels so far. I’ll be going back for sure. I was in and out very early (especially by Portugese standards) so then I called it an early night.
Day 94 | August 28
First full day in Lisbon. Started out with breakfast at a bakery/pastry shop up the road from me called Tartine which was very good. The pastries are obviously the star but I had Eggs Benedict with prosciutto that was great. After that I headed home to figure out how to unpack… I had some errands to do in the afternoon and ended up walking through Praça do Comércio which is a square down by the water. I had a late lunch at Time Out Market which is a food court down on the water where a lot of great restaurants have a presence. In the evening we had a little welcome get together at Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara which is a lookout over the city with views of the castle and the river. Afterwards we went to Restaurante Isco da Bica for dinner.
Day 93 | August 27
Travel days always epitomize the “hurry up and wait” dynamic that happens any time you’re doing something with a big group. Assemble all your stuff downstairs, wait, take the bus to the airport to check in, wait, security, wait, board, wait, passport control, wait, luggage, wait, shuttles, wait, accommodations check in. Made it! Tired and hungry I went to go grab a bite to eat and was turned away from every place I tried to go (as usual). Finally just gave up and had an unremarkable burger and Honorato before crashing.
